Train Your Brain. Understand Your Brain.
Neurofeedback is only one part of the brain performance journey.
At The Brain Care Clinic, we believe that understanding why your brain functions the way it does can be just as valuable as the training itself. That's why every program includes neuroscience-based coaching designed to help you connect your brain mapping results, training progress, daily habits, and personal experiences into a clearer picture of how your brain performs.
Our goal isn't simply to help you complete neurofeedback sessions. It's to help you develop the knowledge, awareness, and habits that support better brain performance long after your training is complete.

Why Sleep Matters
Sleep is one of the brain's most important systems for performance.
During sleep, the brain supports processes involved in recovery, learning, memory consolidation, and preparation for the demands of the following day.
Because of its importance, we encourage clients to monitor factors such as total sleep time, sleep consistency, sleep quality, deep sleep, REM sleep, morning energy, and recovery trends. These metrics can often be tracked using Apple or Android devices.
These observations help provide valuable context when reviewing your progress throughout training. For more information on sleep stages, what they do, and how much time we should spend in each stage, you can check out our blog post HERE.

Understanding Your Waves
One of the most valuable parts of coaching is learning how your brain works. During your program, we'll help you understand the major brainwave patterns measured during your QEEG brain mapping assessment, including:
Delta
The slowest brainwave activity, typically associated with deep restorative sleep and physical recovery.
Theta
Often associated with creativity, imagination, memory processing, and transitional states between wakefulness and sleep.
Alpha
Frequently linked with relaxed awareness, calm focus, and the brain's ability to transition efficiently between activity and recovery.
SMR (Sensorimotor Rhythm)
A rhythm commonly associated with calm attention, efficient processing, and physical stillness while remaining mentally engaged.
Beta
Faster brainwave activity often involved in concentration, active thinking, decision-making, and problem solving.
High Beta
May become more prominent during periods of heightened mental demand, sustained cognitive effort, or increased alertness.
Rather than labeling any brainwave as "good" or "bad," we focus on understanding how different patterns interact within the context of your individual brain and your personal goals.
You can read more about your brainwaves and what they do HERE.
Tracking Progress
Many people focus exclusively on productivity or performance, often overlooking the integral role of recovery. Yet, brain performance depends on both.
Through coaching, we discuss lifestyle factors that may influence cognitive performance, including stress management, hydration, nutrition, physical activity, recovery habits, workload, and daily routines. The goal is to develop awareness of the habits that best support each individual's brain.
By viewing these factors together, we can better understand how your brain responds throughout the training process.

Weekly Coaching Sessions
our coaching sessions provide dedicated time to review your progress, answer questions, and discuss the neuroscience behind your training.
Topics often include:
Understanding your brain map
Reviewing training metrics
Lifestyle observations
Sleep and recovery
Goal progress
Brain performance education
Questions about your reports
Personalized recommendations
Our goal is to help you become an active participant in your own brain performance journey.
Building Long-Term Brain Performance
Brain performance extends beyond neurofeedback. By combining personalized coaching with brain mapping, objective progress tracking, and neuroscience education, we help clients develop a deeper understanding of how their daily habits influence brain function over time for results that carry over into daily life.
The result is a comprehensive approach that empowers you not only to train your brain, but to better understand it.
